I've seen that ad about three times since last week.
It's completely ridiculous.

How do you combine Sir-Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back" with SpongeBob Squarepants to sell hamburgers to young children? (And I thought McDonald's was out of control for some of their racially insensitive material.)
Furthermore, why is the "Burger King" trying to "get with" Spongebob?
The world we live in!
I was just saying the same thing to one of my co-workers this morning. Our world has changed so much since my youth.
ReplyDeleteI see your point, but what's the big deal that they're partnering up with Spongebob...when I was young, I can remember the McDonald commercials that had ties to the Adam's family with chicken nuggets.
ReplyDeleteTrev, once again, you've hit the mark. Yea, this commercial is ridiculous. I was in awe when I saw this for the 1st time. I said to myself "I can't believe this," but actually, I can, sadly enough. I mean what was once Rated R is now Rated PG-13...regular tv shows include curse words (in the actual title!)...just sad.
